2011 Dr. F. Weins-Prum Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spatlese>

Picking my way through some discounted Mosels downtown, ended up with 3 bottles at $15 Cdn each!
AP# 13-12, 7.5% alc, good natural cork. So so vintage I hear but what the heck :) .

Color is an attractive light lemon, no trace of gold yet. Bottle was opened half hour and served quite chilled.
No gasolein to speak of, in fact quite restrained at first but sure opened up with airing....citrus, minerality, pear here for sure. Nice ripe stonefruits as it warmed. Held up v well overnight which was a nice plus.
Initial entry thought is not too sweet, nice (simple) fruit acidity balance. Pear, red skin apple, crisp, tangerine, subtle spice as it warms and airs. Honeysuckle on day 2 and still vibrant. Looking at my other 2011 notes, not sure what to compare it with ? Overall a good buy, have the other two stashed away but not for long.

Sounds nice. Surprising for a 2011. I find most of them very closed right now.
