WTN: 2004 Guigal Cote Rotie La Mouline

2004 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Mouline - France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie (12/21/2015)
The second time I have had this wine, and the first in a long time. Where a few years ago it was closed and largely inscrutable, it is now much more open, and while still youthful, has integrated much of its oak, and is now showing bacon and roasted meat elements to go along with its red fruit and perfume. Elegant and very long, it may not satisfy lovers of traditional Cote Rotie, but it is delicious.
