Tried thiis last night w/ roasted veggies & basil Aioli:
1. Carlisle Mourvedre SonomaCnty (Vines plntd: 1888-1910; 215 cs; 14.9%; Bedrock/Twackers vnyds; U/U) 2013: Med.dark color light for Mourv; very strong Mourv/plummy/blackberry/spicy rather dusty/OV bit herbal/rosemary quite fragrant/high-toned light toasty/oak lovely nose; bit soft light herbal/rosemary/thyme strong plummy/Mourv/raspberry/blackberry quite dusty/OV rather spicy/cinammon light toasty/oak balanced/bright flavor w/ moodest ripe/smooth tannins; soft very long/lingering strong plummy/Mourv herbal/rosemary/spicy/cinammon quite dusty/OV finish w/ light ripe/smooth tannins; speaks strongly of Mourv & OV; a rather lively/bright-on-its-feet unusual expression of Mourv & Carlisle, unlike many of the ContraCosta Mourvs; a lovely/balanced/bright/spicy Mourv that will probably go out 10 yrs or more. $36.80

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I was in the mood for a big/brash/in-your-face/intense red last night, so thought I'd try another new Carlisle. 'Twas not what I expected. This is quite a pretty/drinkable/balanced/spicy expression of Mourv that I liked quite a lot.
