Pobega'd this last night w/ my Pizzocherri:
1. Bedrock Syrah NorthCoast (33%-50% WholeCluster; 14 brls; 4% Viog; Hudson/Griffin'sLair/Weill vnyds) 2014: Very dark/near black color; very strong peppery/cold-climate/W-C spicy/Syrah/blackberry/pungent quite Rhonish/roasted/espresso/black olive/smokey quite complex nose; rather tart/hard/lean strong cold-climate/cracked pepper/W-C some blueberry/blackberry/black olive/Syrah quite complex/Rhonish/roasted slight violets/fragrant flavor w/ modest hard/rough tannins; very long rather hard/austere very cold-climate/Syrah/black pepper/blueberry/blackberry rather Rhonish/roasted/coffee bean finish w/ ample hard/rough/austere tannins; a beautiful NRhone-style Syrah that badly needs 3-6 yrs of age; some of the coarseness of a SouthAmerican Syrah; a really interesting Syrah at a stupid/silly price. $19.50

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I was mightly impressed by this Syrah as having a nice balance between a Calif Syrah & a NRhone Syrah, I should bought more. I was a bit taken back by the hardness of the tannins but it worked fine w/ the Pizzocherri...a dish I fell in love w/ up in the Valtelline.
