Wine A
Dark ruby with an intense nose of earthy black cherries. Great balance on the midpalate with nice earthy fruit, mostly tart cherries and good acidity. Medium long acidic red fruit finish. Probably had the best nose of the 3 wines.
Wine B
Dark ruby, a shade darker than wine A. A hint of funky barnyard, probably more like strong mushrooms and cherries on the nose. Best midpalate fruit with deep cherry and mushrooms, really great balance and nice acidity with just enough tannins to balance out the wine. Medium to long finish of acidic fruit. Definitely the best tasting of the 3 wines because of the layers of deep fruit flavor in the midpalate.
Wine C
Ruby wine with bright tart cherries and a touch of forest floor on the nose. A midpalate red raspberries and tart cherries. Nice long finish of acidic cherry fruit. Definitely best finish of the 3 wines but a bit simpler on the midpalate than the other 2 wines.

Final note: We all loved all 3 wines and found them to be quite close in quality and taste profiles. Not surprising since they all were Cali pinots. We took the 3 wines to the table for Thanksgiving Dinner. They really matched nicely with the turkey and especially the gravy.
