Popped and poured. Dark and dense. Remarkably soft tannins right from the beginning with no appreciable change even after 2 hours in the glass. Not much going on at the moment. Ripe, sweet, black fruit, coffee and chocolate. Oak is completely absorbed into the wine. Very easy to drink and despite the high alcohol, no heat. Nicely put together although not a lot of complexity at this time. My feeling is this needs more time get interesting. Try again in 5 years.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
