2009 Dönnhoff Kreuznacher Krötenpfuhl Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Nahe (12/2/2015)
Green-tinged, light yellow in color, this showed lime and apple fruit, and even a hint of chlorophyll. Surprisingly refreshing acidity for an '09 makes this a more classic kabinett style than is typical to find in these days of global warming.

2009 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Nahe (12/2/2015)
Served alongside the Krotenpfuhl Kabinett, this showed sweeter and riper, though still had fine balance. Peach, cherry, maybe a hint of red apple - Nahe fruit salad on the nose and palate, and a combination of persistence and delicacy of texture made this a joy to drink. There's is a lot of material here, so it has a long road ahead.
