Il Sodaccio di MonteVertine VdT (Sangiovese e Cannaiolo; 12.5%; 3152 btls) SergioManetti/Fattoria do MonteVertine/Radda in Chianti NV: Med.color w/ some bricking; rather earthy/dusty/smokey some perfumed/oldChianti/tobaccoy/cedary fairly complex nose; bit tart/dried out/astringent quite tobaccoy/smokey/cedary slight tangy/metallic complex/oldChianti flavor w/ light drying tannins; very long some tart/metallic quite dusty/earthy tobaccoy/cedary/smokey no-fruit complex finish w/ light hard/astringent tannins; quite an interesting oldChianti/complex nose but starting to get tired/dried out on the palate; still offers up some pleasure. $10.50 (K)
