Arbois Poulsard sans soufre 2004, Domaine Andre et Mireille Tissot (Stephane Tissot)
This is unsulphured and 100% poulsard.
Transparent red colour. Fine nose of leather, wet earth, some anise and slight floral notes. Light wine in the mouth with a fine, lightly complex fruit. Refreshing style with good acids and lightly tannic and rustic end. Foodfriendly and interesting wine best drunk slightly chilled. Could use a little more concentration.
Cotes du Jura pinot noir En Barberon 2004 , Domaine Andre et Mireille Tissot (Stephane Tissot)
Red colour. Nose shows fine notes of rasberries, some herbaciousness and chalk. Slight floral high-notes. In the mouth this is a medium bodied wine very recognisable as pinot noir. Fine concentration and no noticable oak here. Bright rasberry-fruit, chalky. Perhaps lacking a little depth. Fine acids and a little tannins in the finish that gives off a little rusticity. Young, but highly drinkable. Worth the price.
Arbois Trousseau Singulier 2004, Domaine Andre et Mireille Tissot (Stephane Tissot)
Transparent red colour. Fine nose, quite floral with hints of currant, wet stones, slate. Medium bodied trousseau in the mouth. Acidic and fresh style. Good concentration. Very fine fruit here. Quite floral, but showing a more stoney and slatey character in the mouth. Good depth. Good length. Light tannins in the finish. Very fine wine indeed and a good food-wine. My favourite of these three.
