2001 Dönnhoff Schloßböckelheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (11/17/2015)
This is in a great spot right now, with still vibrant cherry and peach fruit, combined with smoky tones and deep, iron core minerality. The sweetness and acidity are in complete harmony, and the finish is long and focused on the fruit and smoke elements of the wine. This is great drinking for now, and should hold at this plateau of maturity for quite some time.
