Tried these two over the weekend:
1. Malvira Trinita DOCG: Roero Arneis (13%; www.Malvira.com; IndigenousSlctns) 2009: Med.gold color; strong honeyed/figgy/graham cracker bit Semillon-like light smokey/oak some earthy/nutty bit oldRhone-like complex nose; lightly tart/tangy some nutty/graham cracker/figgy/ripe rather stony/earthy bit complex flavor long stony/earthy rather ripe/nutty/honeyed/figgy/graham cracker some complex finish; a rather interesting if ripe/heavy rendition of Roero Arneis but lacks the usual perfume of Arneis. $24.50 (SFW&S)

2. Malvira Renesium (Vino Ottenuto da Uve Stramature; 12%; Trinita vnyd; 90% Arneis + 10% aromatic varieties; www.IndigenousSelection.com) NV: Deep gold/bronze color; very intense grapey/passito/orangey/honeyed slight earthy/dusty very ripe/overripe interesting nose; soft quite sweet very late hrvsty/grapey/passito rather orangey/orangey muscatty bit simple flavor; long very sweet soft very grapey/passito/late hrvsty finish; a bit on the soft & simple side but a decent passito sticky. $24.50/hlf (SFW&S)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The Renesium is labeled on their WebSite as being made from botrytis grapes. I picked up zero signs of peachy/apricotty botrytis in this wine. It reminded me mostly of Quady OrangeMuscat/Essencia, but w/o the muscat perfume and the alcohol.
