I did not write down a vintage....assume rather young, but this small winery from a new AVA in a rural valley northwest of Davis, CA (Capay Valley) known primarily for that scourge on American culture, a casino, made a refreshing and quite deliciously dry
SPARKLING TEMPRANILLO!
Pretty purple color. Definitely some earthy notes, this sparkler was bone dry...not sweet at all. Very refreshing. And that earthy tomato-ey??? (that's not right, but I am reaching here) wine seemed perfect for Thanksgiving!
