2002 Gutsverwaltung Niederhausen Schlossböckelheim Niederhäuser Hermannsberg Riesling Eiswein Auction - Germany, Nahe (11/7/2015)
Hand carried back from Germany after purchasing it at the 2003 Nahe VDP auction, this has lived up to the promise it showed on that day in October 2003. Copper-gold in color and redolent of orange, baking spices and honey on the nose, it is none rattling in its palate intensity. The sheer volume of sweetness and acidity would make for 3 or 4 wines, and it's packed into one. Just wow.
