Pobega'd this last night:
1. Forlorn-Hope King-Andrews King-AndrewVnyds/SuisunVlly WW (47 cs; 11.87%; CheninBlanc/Vermentino/TrousseauGris/GreenHungarian) Murphys 2014: Med.light yellow color; rather grapey/fragrant/apple blossom/CB-floral bit metallic chalky pleasant/simple nose; quite tart/tangy/grapefruity/lemony slight chalky light CB/grapey rather simple flavor; med. tart/tangy/grapefruity slight chalky light CB/floral finish; a pleasant rather simple/uninteresting expression of CB; not sure it will put on weight or change into something interesting. $26.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Matt makes no apologies for aiming to emulate some of the retrograde/old-timey Calif wines. Hence his interest in GreenHungarian (this being the first crop off this vnyd). If that be his aim here, then he certainly succeeded. This wine was remeiniscent of some of those old GusSebastiani and ChristianBrothers CheninBlancs. Not a bad wine, but just not something I found particularly interesting...which is pretty rare for a wine of Matt's. Will give it another try in a few months.
