CellarTracker note:
Beaujolais Cru, France.
12.5% alcohol by volume. Julienas is the northernmost of the ten Beaujolais Crus, with 1400 acres of deep granite hillsides. The single plot where this wine is produced is surrounded by cherry trees or "Cerisiers."
It exhibits cherry flavors with fuzzy tannins and a slight smoky/earthiness. I opened this to see if I would want to go back to the store to purchase more bottles. The answer is a qualified yes as I am being swamped by shipments of wines ordered last spring, summer and early fall. I think I will pass on more bottles of this one although it served its purpose as an everyday wine.
