From a Negociant-Eleveur in Beaune. Labeled as 12.5% abv. The back label notes fruity aromas of black currants, red currants, and plum and discreet woody notes in the mouth. A pretty dark ruby color; semi-opaque. The idea of black and red currants seems to ring true; I didn't find the plum however. This is an enjoyable red Burgundy at the entry level and a good QPR. It would be comple-mentary to a number of foods that are commonly paired with red Burgundy. I had it with a ratatouille with ground lamb added and a tomato-based sauce. I liked the wine even more on the second evening than on the first evening.
