A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. GS: I've fallen in love w/ Wiener GemischterSatz every since MattRorick/Forlorn-Hope opened my eyes to this wine. I had some exceptional ones when I was in Vienna. This was not one of them. GS must be made out of at least 3 varieties in a field blend. They must come from the same vnyd. Since most new vnyds are planted in varietal blocks, that means many of the GS are AlteRebe...old vines. The IngridGroiss remains my favorite thus far.

2. KlosterNeuburg: Wolfgang took Susan & I to a visit of this legendary property. Beautiful/beautiful monastery w/ impressive/old cellars. The wines did not live up to the legend. As part of the tour, we got to try four of them. I was distinctly underwhelmed. They were varietaly correct but lacked in the pizzazz factor. I bought this GS to try at home w/ Wolfgang. It did not thrill.
