Would you pay more for CnDP or Lancers?

wines are top right, surprising to see Lancer's is the most expensive....

What's Lancers?

Lancers is a somewhat sweet sparkling wine from Portugal. Kind of like a sparkling version of Mateus. I haven't seen it around since the 1970s. I also noticed that their Liebfraumilch is the same price as the Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

Ah yes, Lancer's, a favorite of my aunt at so many Christmas eve dinners! It is still being made by the large Portuguese producer JM da Fonseca, which makes quite a range of wine: http://www.jmf.pt. As far as diversified producers in Portugal go, their wines have never really appealed to me, say in contrast to some products from Sogrape, which produces everything from Mateus to Barca Velha (a very expensive Douro table wine) and Ferreira port.
