Of the three recent D&G Syrah, this was by far my favorite! With the caveat that the wine definitely needs some serious time to integrate...it is a little discombobulated at the moment. But, there are some delicious components here, with impressive depth and layers of complexity. Classic Syrah cool climate red plum fruit, with that tong of Rhonesque fruit. Plenty of acidity, but lacks the screechiness of the 2011 Fernaughty. The wine kept changing in the glass in a fascinating way. A delicious wine, and kudos to Jarrod!
