J J Prum...and no sulphur!

Say it isn`t so! Well forumites I have the evidence right here.

WTN: 2004 Joh. Jos. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett, MSR Germany.

Cellared 3 yrs or more, $30 Cdn, 8.5% alc, AP # 2 576 511 04 07. Opened and decanted one hour, well soaked cork.

Color is a light lemon so not a lot of advancement. No noted sulphur, grapefruit on pulling cork, floral, green apple, "mineral of sorts" from across the table. I agree especially on day 2.
Initial entry thought is drinks well right now-not too much RS, pear finish. Has very good acidity, no sign of decline, hint of honeysuckle on a lengthy finish as it warms up but something else there I could not discern. Pleasing though. "Apricot" from fellow taster, excellent balance here. On second day, big acidity showing with the lemon citrus finish. Quite a gem in my opinion, my only bottle alas.

The Prum sulphur issue is rather overblown IMO. Grunhaus on the other hand...there's a lot of sulphur.
