2005 Nicolas Potel Charmes-Chambertin

Grand Cru red Burgundy. I took this to the MO'COOL party on Aug. 14 in Brighton, MI. It has a nice cherry liqueur nose and was drinking smoothly with unexpected mellow texture for a 2005 red Burgundy, especially a grand cru. The finish was spicy. Some said tasting young, but good. It seemed to be popular with the women, LuAnn, Julia, Mary Ellen and myself, and Jim G. also seemed to really like it.

Such young days for this. Wish I had some. Only bought village wines from Potel in 2005.
