WTN: Donkey and Goat and Loxton

With pork chops in a savory-chile infused glaze (yum).

Donkey and Goat 2012 "Helluva" Pinot Noir. Anderson Valley. Screwcap enclosure.

A very tangy, pomegranite-y Pinot Noir which definitely shows "Donkey and Goat" house style, for better or worse (your opinion may vary! ) To me the bright fruit complemented "the other white meat" quite well.

2011 Loxton Syrah. Sonoma County. Very meaty, savory, earthy syrah. I was rather wined out by that point in the day, but I always enjoy his Syrahs. And it is such a friendly and comfortable place to visit.

Loxton is indeed a fine place to visit, and I've never failed to find something interesting there.

I have far, far too many wine clubs, but this is one I would pick up if I cul some others.
