To celebrate my order of two pallets of Bedrock, I cracked:
1. BedrockWineCo Ode to Lucien RW (14.1%; 63% own rooted Mourv/27% Grenache/10% Syrah; Vnyds planted before 1900;
EvangelhoVnyd + GibsonRanch; 1 600gal foudre) 2013: Very dark color; very intense plummy/blackberry/chocolaty/spicy/licorice bit earthy/mushroomy/ContraCosta light toasty/oak/smokey quite complex/terroir-driven nose; soft big/ripe/lush/mouthfilling chocolaty/plummy/Mourv blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah quite dusty/OV/earthy/mushroomy light oak flavor w/ ample/soft/round tannins; very long/lingering dusty/OV/earthy very strong plummy/chocolaty/Mourv some Syrah/blackberry rather dusty/OV light toasty/oak finish w/ some ripe/soft tannins; speaks mostly of ripe ContraCosta Mourv but the GibsonRanch stuff gives it a bit of brightness and fruit that you don't usually get in CC Mourv.
