I'm not a big fan of the HoseMaster, who to my mind taps the same crude veins of snide meanness as Eater dot com. :P But Mr. Tajikian sure comes across as one humorless sphincter!

Humorless on all sides.

I find the Hosemaster to be more mean than satire, even when he skewers people/activities that I do not care for. In a generally bad situation I am actually rooting for Riedel.

We're in agreement on the HoseMaster, although the Riedel lawyer really did go for the gold.

I don't think so. What he wrote is pretty darned accurate. You may not care for the tone, but it's spot on.

Interesting on his blog he claims First Amendment rights -- but then solicits donations for his legal defence fund (currently at $2745.

Or is he worrying that the piece wasn't published on his (presumably) US based site, but on UK based Tim Atkins site.

Blake Gray has a pretty good take on that. Atkin may be in trouble. Washam, not so much.

I love, just LOVE, that the reference for protected satire involves Larry Hustler and Jerry Falwell. Ron's in good company!

"I failed to explain clearly enough that the article was a piece of satirical writing "

So why didn't Tim post something before the article that it was satire?? Looks like he caved.
And Georg still comes off as looking like a two-faced a$$hole. Whatta crock.
