Tried last night w/ my salad:
1. Plozner Malpelo PinotGrigio IGT: VeneziaGiulia (Macerated on skins for 1 night; 12.5%) Spilimbergo 2009: Pale copper/light burnished bronze color; fairly fragrant cranberry/floral/apple blossom bit spicy/cinammon attractive nose; fairly tart spicy/cinammon cranberry/floral/apple blossom flavor w/ very light tannic bite; med. apple blossom/cranberry/floral bit tart rather juicy/spicy/cinammon/watermelon finish w/ light tannic bite; a pleasant enough rose but just that. $18.00 (WE)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I was expecting this wine to show a bit of phenolic character. But it was neither a skin-contact white nor an orange wine and showed no phenolic character save a slight tannic bite. Just a sort-of ho-hum rose.
Malpelo means "little rascal".
