WTN: 2012 Syrahs

2012 Texier St-Julien en St-Alban Vieille Serine Pergaud
Juicy chewy succulent and delicate. Most importantly, damned delicious. Last winter I told myself to save these for awhile but this is so damned delicious I might have to drink more. And save the Brezemes.

2012 ESJ Fenaughty
Dark silky seductive herbs. With a touch of florals. This is so easy to drink and to enjoy now. As with the 2012 Texier St Julien, last winter this seemed so primary and I told myself to wait. But tonight's bottle was rocking. So if I didn't know better, I would keep opening bottles until they are all gone. But it is ESJ. So I guess I should keep some. Isn't that so Steve?

One year later, bottles of both of these wines were still gloriously delicious and not awkward in any way (as I feared they might have become). Bravo. Here's to continued drinking of both!

Great to hear. I have some '12 Fenaughtys but haven't tried one yet; will do so soon!
cheers, Patchen
