WTN: 2011 Thivin is shut down hard

Shut down hard. Brooding fruit and then nothing but structure. Leave it alone. I did not expect a 2011 Beaujolais to do this.

I buy the entry level Thivins, the Kermit Lynch Stateside version, just about every year, but I've never hung onto them, so I don't know how long they age, although when I tasted the 2009 "Zacharie" at the Thivin winery last month it was in great shape. How about reporting back on your eleven in a year or two to tell us what happens.

Probably more like 3-5 years, but yes I will report back.

Have you had good experiences with 2011 Beaujolais recently?

I had a pretty tight Foillard Fleurie and then heard reports warning me to leave Griffe du Marquis alone.
