Tried these two last night w/ corn on the cob:
1. Lechthaler Riesling Dd'OP: Trentino (12.5%) Rovere'Della Luna 2012: Pale yellow color; lightly floral/carnations/perfumed talc/R fairly chalky/stoney nicely aromatic nose towards the mineral side; rather tart/tangy/grapefruity rather stony/chalky/metallic lightly floral/R/carnations/perfumed talc somewhat lean flavor; med.long tart/tangy/lean/metallic some stoney/chalky/grapefruity light floral/carnations/R finish; some like an AltoAdige R but w/o the earthy/bass notes; a bit like a FingerLakes R more than anything; not a lot of aromatic R fruit and rather terroir-driven. $15.00 (KK)

2. Lechthaler Dd'OP: Teroldego Rotaliano (13%) 2012: Very dark color; some earthy/dusty/loamy strong plummy/black cherry/licoorice very spicy/Teroldego quite perfumed very attractive nose; fairly tart/tangy strong plummy/licorice/black cherry/boysenberry/Teroldego rather earthy/loamy rather structured flavor w/ some hard/bitey tannins; very long some earthy/dusty/loamy bit tart/hard strong black cherry/black cherry cola/Teroldego/licorice bit smokey/pungent finish w/ light/bitey tannins; a biit rustic but quite good; a great introductory Teroldego at a great price. $15.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Teroldego: A full sibling of Deureza, so related to Syrah. I could see some semblance there. This one was not as smooth/polished as the Foradori's, but showed classic Teroldego character. Should be more widely planted in Calif. The Haarrington is easily the best from Calif I've had. IlPodere not too far behind.
