So I had forgotten about an order at Benchmark last fall (totally my fault). I was over their free storage timeline, so needed to ship. I was pleasantly surprised at FedEx Cold Chain quote- not that much more than ground. So package left CA last Wed, arrived in Newark (closest hub with temp control) yesterday, on truck to Elmsford NY overnight, at my office at 10 AM today.Bottles (ESJ, Kalin, Giacosa- but it's bubbly!) are cool to touch (if I had to guess, 60-64F). One day in styro starting cool is pretty safe. Hope more retailers start offering Cold Chain.
