2013 Bedrock Wine Co. Heritage Wine Evangelho Vineyard - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Contra Costa County (6/30/2015)
Started with a quick pop and pour at 5:30 PM, and it was simple, grapey and frankly uninspiring. Came back to it around 7 PM, and it was a different wine. The grapey elements had pulled back, and herbal, dusty, earthy elements had joined the fruit to make a much more complex and interesting wine. There is still a ton of primary fruit that makes me inclined to age the wine rather than consume much of it any time soon. Very enjoyable and a good value.

Where are you on what "good value" means? I have some Evangelhoes, and believe I paid round $42-44 for them. Haven't tasted one yet, and doubt if I'll think I was robbed when I drink one, but at that price it would have to be quite a wine for me to think it good value.

This was low $30s, and drank as well as most of the Ridge Zins (e.g. Geyserville, Lytton) that I continue to think as good value.

At $40 or more it would not have been a value.

If I could have gotten this wine for $25 it would have been a back up the truck value.

Got it--kind of what I thought, just wanted to be sure.
