Tried this last night:
1. LunaVnyds Sangiovese NapaVlly (13.5%) Napa 1996: Med.color w/ some bricking; rather bright/cherry/Sangio quite earthy/dusty light smokey/oak fairly complex nose; quite tart/lean bright/cherry/Sangio/dusty/earthy slight spicy/cinammon flavor w/ some hard/lean tannins; very long bright/cherry/Sangio rather tart/lean/hard rather earthy/dusty some complex finish w/ light/hard/rugged tannins; still has plenty of Sangio fruit but pretty hard/austere on the palate; liked the aromatics but a bit hard to drink; may never become a really pleasant btl.

1. This is the wine of JohnKonsgaard for his Italian varietals. They're consistently some of the better Sangios made in Calif.
