WTN: 2014 Chermette 'les griottes' bojo pink redux

A month or so ago I panned this wine, and am here this morning to make amends. Last night it was one of 20 wines I served to my neighborhood tasting group, and it was exquisite. Because of the size of the event and because I was 'working', I didn't take notes, but this wine easily bested the very ripe 2014 Quails Gate gamay it was paired with (IMO, and it would be so for most people on this board, though such is the group's New World orientation that the Quails Gate was vastly preferred). It's not the wan and tasteless wine that the earlier bottle we opened was (purchased at the same place as last night's bottles, so that's not an explanation), it's a wine of serious complexity and beauty.

It's funny how these things are- whether it's bottle variation, food pairing, root/flower/whatever days, if we're honest and open we'll find these wines where our opinions are different on second try. Thanks for updating!

I suspect that bottle shock explains the unsatisfactory first bottle--might have been fresh off the boat. Sure wish I had more!
