Ridge Zin BuchignaniRanch/DryCreekVlly/SonomaCnty (20% Carignane; 14.6%; 36 brls; bottled December 2011; 60-75 yr old vines; Drk: 9/11-9/16-9/18: JO) 2010: Very dark color; very strong very spicy/bright/raspberry/blackberry/peppery/Zin quite dusty/OV light DraperPerfume/Ridge oak/smokey very perfumed beautiful nose; rather tart/zippy/tangy very bright/Zin/raspberry/blackberry/Zinberry/very spicy light Ridge/Am.oak quite dusty/OV flavor w/ modest zippy/tangy tannins; very long tart/bright/zippy/tangy strong raspberry/blackberry/Zinberry/quite spicy light Ridge/Am.oak/smokey quite dusty/OV finish w/ modest tangy/bit bitey tannins; needs a few more yrs of age yet; terrific Zin. $32.00 (ATP)

1. This is easily the best wine I've ever had off BuchignaniRanch and one of the best ATP Zins since the MazzoniHomeRanch '09. It had an incredible spiciness to it that you usually only find in the LyttonSprings. Easily the equivalent of LyttonSprings except not quite the structure.
