WTN: 2013 Rhys Horseshoe Pinot Noir

2013 Rhys Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (6/13/2015)
This was my second bottle from the 2013 Rhys Pinot Sampler pack. The Horseshoe is notably richer than the Family Farm, showing darker fruit and also more depth. There is some spice and floral on the nose, but on the palate it's all dark fruit balanced by ample acidity and some tannin. This certainly appears to be the ager of the two I have tried so far. I would expect some challenge for that from the Alpine, but that's a tasting for another day.
