2008 Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Les Alliees - France, Champagne (6/7/2015)
What a delicious Chamapgne. My wife and I both love red fruit dominated Chamapgne, so this really does the trick. With 100% Pinot Meunier it shows its fruit, but also has great depth of flavor with layers of complexity. There is something almost salty about this wine, and the richness is balanced by a finishing hit of herb and flower tinged acidity. This is just beautiful stuff.
