A very pretty wine with a great QPR -- a present of the season, but listed on Wine Searcher Pro for $10 - $11. 45% Grenache Blanc, 48% Grenache Gris, and 7% Macabeo.
My first White Grenache so far as I know -- tank fermented, firm acidity, lovely fruit aroma and taste, medium to full mouth feel, good finish, mineral notes. 4*.
You know who makes a good Grenache Blanc? Tablas Creek. I was shocked. I've had a few in blends from France (I think Lafage does a 'straight' one too), and Chateau L'Ermitage does a great cheap Costieres de Nimes Blanc with it, but Tablas topped 'em all. I'll try to dig up notes or buy another soon.
