Monterey County, CA. High elevation grapes. 14.3% abv. Aged for 12 months in one-, two-, and three-year old barrels. 343 cases. The first evening I got cherries and a hint of orange peel on the palate. The second evening the flavor profile seemed closer to plum than cherries. Either way it was smooth, not candied, and attractive for sipping on its own as well as being amenable with food. Decent body and a lengthy finish. A note on CellarTracker from another wine drinker reminded me that it might be time to open my final bottle of this. Very enjoyable.
