2013 Idlewild Barbera Fox Hill Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Mendocino County (6/1/2015)One word: raspberries! When I opened this I could smell the raspberries. I kept smelling the wine just to inhale the intoxicating scent of raspberries. When I finally got around to drinking it there were floral nuances, bright acidity and more of those raspberries. I think I was drinking it, but it may have just been evaporating before my eyes. Delicious wine.

Yup, David...about as good a Calif Barbera as you can find. I (sniff/sniff) tasted it back in early January and liked it a lot
for its very strong spiciness. Sam's doing great stuff. Followed him from the very start, I did!!
