'09 Tobin James Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

2009 Tobin James Silver Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine listed at $48 but ours came with the Spring ‘12 wine club shipment. The horsepower was 14.4%. It gave a very strong cabernet aroma on the nose, notably that of cassis and other fruit. The same came through on the first taste. In the middle were more gobs of fruit, a complex structure and a mere hint of oak. The finish went on and on.

Drank half with grilled rib eye, sweet potatoes, and green beans; and the next night enjoyed the other half with smoked St Louis ribs in sauce, green beans, and rolls. Excellent!
