2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (5/13/2015)This bottle was given about 3 hours of air prior to serving. Once we poured the first glass it was clear that it was open for business. Ripe pineapple was the calling card, and it was accompanied by other tropical fruit elements, a bit of smoke, some honey and a bracing finish. Every sip was fantastic. This is a classic Mosel Auslese from a classic vintage that is in the prime of its life. Drink now and over the next 20 years.

Ditto what David said. Beautiful wine, drinking superbly at the moment.

Nice note. I don't have this, but have a couple bottles each of the WS and ZS ausleses. Would you expect them to be in same point of development?

The ZS yes. I would expect the WS to be further behind.

I am glad to hear that the 2001 Prum GH Aus. has more years ahead of it. I am planning to hold the one bottle that I have until its 20th birthday.
