From the last few weeks:

NV Treveri Cellars Pinot Grigio Brut Columbia Valley
Left here by a friend. Not to my tastes--it's slurpable, but monochromatic in flavor and has the big-bubble mouthfeel of soda pop. Amusing for the right crowd at just $15ish, but would not fly with anyone who drinks real champagne.

2012 Hermann J. Wiemer Chardonnay Finger Lakes
Godawful sweet and flabby. Would be very pleasant to someone who enjoys sweet and flabby, but it's 100% opposite the vibrant, exciting dry Herman Weimer chardonnay that so wowed us when we visited the FL region back in 2010. Ugh.

2010 Blue Mountain Pinot Gris Striped Label Reserve Okanagan Valley
This wine is really opening up (another bottle showed poorly a year ago). Bright, complex fruit, nice heft; a serious pinot gris and lord knows we don't make 'em that way in the States. I'm guessing it's still early yet and another year or two will reward holding.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
