2011 Matthiasson White Wine - USA, California, Napa Valley (5/2/2015)
Delicious and refreshing white wine from Matthiasson - this shows lots of grapefruit, some spice but no overt woody tones from the oak, and a crisp mouthfeel. It's very drinkable with a wide range of foods, which was a great quality given the pot-luck nature of dinner. It was especially good with the braised pork and the salad/veggie items.
Given the wine's reliance on Sauvignon Blanc (there is also Ribolla, Tocai and Semillon in there) I am surprised that I continue to like this wine so much.
