I have a friend in my tasting group who purchased a home in SanDiego several yrs ago. On the property are some 70 grapevines (of unknown varieties). He gets out there about every 3 months or so. Obviously, the vines are not getting a whole lot of attention. Of course, the wife suggested they should be ripped out. Typical wife thinking.
I suggested to Tom that maybe we could find some home winemaker in the SanDiego area that would be willing to tend the vines in exchange for taking the crop off the vines for their ho-made wine.
Anybody want to volunteer?? Or connect me w/ someone who might be interested?? Don't everyone raise their hands at once!!
