Tried this last night at dinner:
1. AloisLageder PinotNoir DOC: Sudtirol/AltoAdige (12.5%; www.AloisLageder.Eu; www.DallaTerra.com) Magre/Sudtirol 2011: Light almost rose color; quite earthy/dusty/granatic/root cellar some loamy very light cherry/cherry cola/PN/fragrant some herbal/pungent/rosemary quite interesting/terroir-driven nose; rather tart/lean/austere/tangy quite earthy/loamy/dusty some cherry/cherry cola/PN/herbal/rosemaryflavor w/ light/gentle tannins; long rather tart/tangy/metallic quite earthy/dusty/root cellarfinish w/ light/gentle/slightly bitey tannins; a wine that badly lacks color/lacks extract/lacks toasty oak/lacks gobs of hedonistic fruit character but if you want a lightweight very tasty earthy/loamy/AFWE Pinot that speaks strongly of AltoAdige, you might like this one. $24.70 (CB)
