Tried this wine out in Calif at Pizzaiolo on my last night:
1. Vignaioli Favolalunga DOC: CollineNovaresi Vespolina (13%; OliverMcCrumWines) GilbertoBoniperti/Barengo 2012: Med.dark color; strong plummy/black cherry/blackberry somewhat earthy/dusty/graphite some pungent/herbal quite interesting nose; lightly tart rather earthy/dusty strong plummy/black cherry/black cherry cola/licorice/RCCola flavor w/ modest rough/hard tannins; very long slightly tart strong plummy/black cherry/RCCola rather earthy/dusty/pungent/licorice finish w/ some hard tannins; a quite good tasty/rough/ruustic CollineNovaresi that needs a few yrs. $45.00

1. This is a wine from OliverMcCrum (www.OMWines.com) from a producer that I'd not tried (www.bonipertivignaioli.com). Apparently sees no oak. Quite an impressive example of Vespolina.
