From a 375ml. bottle. 70% Zinfandel, 18% Carignane, 10% Petite Sirah, and 2% Mataro. 14.6% alcohol by volume. "A full crop was thinned to intensify flavors. Natural yeasts. 14 mos. in barrel. Best 2015-2017." Darkly colored and opaque. I'm loving this! Heady aroma of dark berries with earthy undertones. Just a hint of mint. On the palate, rich dark raspberry and a lingering, savory, smoky finish. (Kind of classic Zin blend meets northern Rhone.) This is so impressive that I'm wishing it was a regular-sized bottle rather than a half bottle. Tonight or before Easter I will open a 2007 Ridge Lytton Springs.

Love you zin-Rhone analogy. I think that's exactly was attracts so many of us to that wine.

Sounds lovely, JC. I was able to try the 2007 version of this wine and had a similar positive reaction.

I am a major fan of ridge Petit Sirah, so the big dollop of that much maligned grape adds some interesting character to the wine!
