Castaldi Francesca Pianazze vino rosso (12.5%; L13-165; Nebbiolo/Vespolina/UvaRara blend?; EstateWines/SanRafael) Briona/Fara/CollineNovaresi NV (2013): Med.light color; rather floral/lilacs/Nebb slight earthy/dusty fairly attractive nose; quite tart/acidic/lean/austere light floral/Nebb/lilacs earthy/dusty pleasant flavor w/ light/lean/bitey tannins; med. slight minty some floral/lilacs/Nebb earthy/dusty quite tart/lean/eviscerated finish w/ light/bitey tannins; a mean little wine that speaks quietly of Nebb; pleasant enough nose but pretty hurtey on the palate. $12.78 (PrimaIlC)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This wine is described as Francesca's declassified Fara. Can't find out, though, what the exact blend is. I've not heard of this producer, but would like to try her Fara, despite the meaness of this little wine.
