WTN: Carlisle Syrah SonomaCnty '13...(short/boring)

Did some more bottom-feeding from my latest Carlisle order:
1. Carlisle Syrah SonomaCnty (15.2%; 850 cs; Papa'sBlock + SteinerVnyd) 2013: Very dark color; strong blackberry/Syrah/spicy bit dusty some toasty/smokey/oak slight licorice/root beer/RCCola bit peppery almost RRV Zin-like nose; bit soft strong blackberry/Syrah/spicy/peppery/RCCola light smokey/pungent/oak structured/rich flavor w/ light/hard tannins; very long very strong blackberry/Syrah/peppery/spicy rather structured bit austere light smokey/oak finish w/ some hard tannins; needs 2-6 yrs; resembles some a Novy RRV Syrah but less fleshy/lush and more structured; this wine should not be dismissed because of the low $$'s...it is a serious/structured Syrah; a screaming deal at $23.75.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Mike didn't think the Papa'sBlock Syrah was up to his usual high standard, so he blended in some SteinerSyrah and blew it out the door. We shoulda backed up the truck.
