Decided to Pobega this last night:
1. Carlisle Zin SonomaCnty (15.0%; 670 cs; Vines planted: 1895-1934; Saitone/Montafi/Bedrock/Papera/Pagani vnyds) 2013: Dark color; very strong blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/framboise/black cherry cola light smokey/toasty huge fruit/spicy dusty/OV lovely nose; slightly tart very strong blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/cherry cola quite spicy/dusty/OV light smokey flavor w/ light/firm tannins; long bit tart very strong blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/black cherry cola/very spicy dusty/OV slight smokey/earthy finish w/ some hard tannins; loads of spicy Zin fruit but tannins are kinda hard; needs at least a yr and should go out 6-8 yrs; a very solid/blocky/chunky Zin at a great price; really overdelivers on the price; even though this is Mike's "value wine", it's a serious Zin. $23.75
