Matt Parish Winemaker Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon

Matt delivers - with the best one I've ever tasted!

Ex-chief winemaker for the Americas at Treasury, responsible for making Beringer, Stags' Leap, and Chateau St Jean

"Really excited to announce the launch of my 2013 Santa Rita Pinot Noir. Like many Californian Pinot'€™s this is a richer smoother style - brimming with lot'€™s of dark cherry and toasty oak characters with an exceptionally smooth and full finish - definitely a crowd pleaser! For those not aware Santa Rita sits in Santa Barbara a couple hours north of Los Angeles. Often called the Napa Valley of the South because the high quality and priced (not for you!) offerings the region is perfect for Pinot noir due to the great soils and coastal influence. This wine is sourced from two vineyards - Radian and Bentrock. Hand harvested, destemmed only and cold soaked for 3 to 5 days at around 8°C, fermented in open tops to a peak of ~33°C, then post ferment macerated for up to 4 weeks. Barrel matured, 25% new French oak."
Cheers,
Matt
